Description: Accurate and appropriate antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) is of utmost importance, particularly in light of the increasing frequency of multidrug-resistant organisms. This webinar will focus on some of the challenges that laboratorians face regarding AST and reporting. Speakers will address ways to approach AST to help guide treatment decisions. College of American Pathologists (CAP) checklist items and proficiency testing challenges related to AST and reporting will also be discussed.
