Expert Panel on Point-of-Care Testing
CLSI requests nominations for volunteers to serve on an expert panel. The number of openings on the expert panel and constituencies being sought are included in the table below.
Expert panels are responsible for:
- Identifying and proposing projects
- Reviewing project proposals from other sources and advising the Consensus Council on their suitability
- Reviewing and commenting on documents within their area of expertise during Proposed Draft vote
- Reviewing documents within their area of expertise and recommending them for reaffirmation, revision, withdrawal, or archiving

Term of service
Expert panel members serve a one-year term beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31. Eligible members may be reappointed for up to four consecutive terms.
Exert panels activities schedule
Expert panels meet at least quarterly, including one face-to-face meeting scheduled during a CLSI Committees Week. Committees Weeks are generally held in January, March, June, and September.
All other meetings are held by Web conference and/or conference call. These meetings may be held more frequently as needs determine.
