AST Educational Workshop to Be Held During January Committees Week

CLSI will be holding an educational workshop entitled “Beyond Susceptible/Intermediate/Resistant (SIR): Enhancing Laboratory Communication with Reporting Comments” at the January Committees Week in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, January 25 from 5:00-7:00 PM in Room Palm A/D. A discussion on the gaps between breakpoints and clinical practice will be held. Options for real-time reporting of susceptibility-based comments will be discussed, as well as mechanisms for communicating susceptibility information beyond susceptible (S), intermediate (I) and resistant (R). The speakers will also discuss the impact of susceptibility comments to clinical practice.
