Meeting the Lab’s Quality Objectives With CLSI’s New Laboratory Quality Management System Certificate Program
12/6/2020
Implementing a laboratory quality management system can seem a daunting project. Learn how you can deliver consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective laboratory services by participating CLSI’s updated Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS) Certificate Program. This program provides a process-oriented approach to meeting quality objectives and provides the most up-to-date information for the implementation and sustainment of a quality management system (QMS) in your laboratory.
This self-paced online learning program shows how to use the QMS model described in CLSI guideline QMS01, A Quality Management System Model for Laboratory Services, to fulfill regulatory and accreditation requirements for medical laboratories. The program includes lessons for each of the 12 Quality System Essentials in the QMS model. In plain, simple language, each generic topic—eg, personnel, equipment, documents, assessments—discusses the processes and activities your laboratory needs to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements for that topic.
A helpful case study demonstrating how your laboratory can implement a new analyzer for laboratory testing through the described processes and activities is presented. The course also includes quizzes to test your knowledge about the lesson content, a certificate of completion, and 13 P.A.C.E.® continuing education credits after passing the final exam.
A QMS is a proven way your laboratory can:
- Fulfill applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Reduce unnecessary failure costs.
- Make its best contribution to patient care.
