CLSI Welcomes Zahra Shajani-Yi, PhD, to Board of Directors

Malvern, Pennsylvania, USA — The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) is pleased to welcome Zahra Shajani-Yi, PhD, DABCC, FADLM to the CLSI Board of Directors.

Dr. Shajani-Yi is Senior Technical Director and Clinical Chemist at Labcorp and serves as Discipline Director for Routine Immunoassasys nationally. Previously she was an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and held clinical roles as the Associate Medical Director of Clinical Chemistry and Medical Director of Esoteric Chemistry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. 

We are excited to welcome Dr. Shajani-Yi to the Board of Directors and look forward to her contributions to advancing CLSI's mission. 

In addition, CLSI announces the following updates to its Board leadership: Joe Passarelli (retired, scientific liaison, Roche Diagnostics) was elected to his second term as Treasurer. Dr. Randall Hayden (Director in the Department of Pathology, St. Jude's Hospital) was re-elected for a 2nd term. Dr. Collette Fitzgerald (Associate Director for Science in the Office of Laboratory Systems and Response, CDC) was re-elected for a 2nd term.
