CLSI Applied 2026Today, laboratories are navigating a period of rapid transformation. Advances in technology, shifting regulatory expectations, and increasing complexity in diagnostic testing are reshaping how laboratories operate and deliver results.

As these changes accelerate, laboratory professionals are faced with a critical question: how do you prepare for what's next?

Introducing CLSI Applied 2026

CLSI Applied 2026 was designed to help laboratories navigate these changes. Whether it's complex diagnostics that need higher training or technology that can fully change a lab's internal functioning, CLSI Applied 2026 focuses on making integration and adaptation smooth and seamless as possible.

Structured as a half-day virtual event, CLSI Applied 2026 | "Redefining What's Possible for Laboratories of the Future," takes place 12 May 2026 at 12 PM EDT. It marks CLSI's second annual education summit, following last year's event, Testing With Confidence, which helped laboratories navigate regulatory uncertainty surrounding LDT rules.

Like it's predecessor, CLSI Applied 2026 features prominent industry and clinical experts leading discussions on some of the most pressing changes and topics shaping the clinical laboratory community. Through presentations, fireside chats, panel discussions, and clinical case studies, attendees will gain practical insights into addressing complex challenges and managing the realities of everyday laboratory practice.

"CLSI Applied 2026 builds on the success of our previous initiatives and delivers even more actionable guidance for today’s laboratory professionals. This program reflects CLSI’s commitment to preparing laboratories with the tools and expertise needed to navigate evolving regulatory and clinical demands."

Why CLSI Applied Matters Now

New technologies are proliferating rapidly. Regulatory expectations continue to shift. Even patient participation and expectations have evolved. It's increasingly important for laboratories to stay one step ahead to ensure safe, reliable care.

These changes are not happening in isolation. Increasing complexity across diagnostic workflows are reshaping how laboratories operate and deliver results, and it's happening now.

"We developed our annual CLSI Applied event to bring together leaders across the diagnostics ecosystem, including labs, manufacturers, and regulators. This year, we are taking it one step further by highlighting how CLSI standards are used to meet these challenges head on," said CLSI CEO Dr. Barb Jones.

"We're tackling broad topics like monitoring the risk when adopting AI and how the patient voice can improve diagnostics innovation, to the use of CLSI where the rubber meets the road, like liquid biopsy techniques and calculating the financial benefits of your quality program."

Events like CLSI Applied 2026 are designed to meet that need, offering a space for laboratories to engage with emerging challenges and explore real-world strategies for moving forward.
