  1. Identify the importance of patient factors and exogenous interferences when performing and interpreting plasma-based coagulation assays.
  2. Review recommendations for specimen collection and conditions for transport to the laboratory.
  3. Discuss errors that can impact coagulation test results due to specimen collection, mixing, storage, and transport.  
     

Intermediate: Refresher course. Some basic knowledge required, for the experienced staff technologist with some years of experience.
