This CLSI rationale document is based on data collected by the CLSI Enterobacteriaceae Ad Hoc Working Group to reassess cefazolin minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) breakpoints for Enterobacterales for systemic infections and introduce new intermediate and resistant MIC breakpoints supported by higher dosage treatment regimens for cefazolin.
